The Hungarian Natural History Museum has the largest collection of natural history and anthropology in the Carpathian Basin. We collect, research, and present “material memories” of biological diversity, geological heritage, and historical anthropology. Our museum is an open, family- and visitor-friendly institution embedded in both domestic and international scientific and cultural life. It offers several answers to the challenges of our time by conveying authentic scientific knowledge to the public while it is also committed to encouraging an environmentally conscious approach towards nature.
